The book format changes
For the past eleven issues, we have featured one management book and two case studies. We now propose a small change in our book coverage.
Rather than offer the customary book review, we will analyze each book in greater depth, over the course of several issues (usually three to four). This approach will allow us to explain more of the management theory behind the book, and will hopefully transfer to you, dear Reader, some of the knowledge of the book.
We inaugurate this approach with professor Morten Hansen’s book Collaboration.

In this issue we look at what he means by collaboration, and when to collaborate, and when not to. The next issue will focus on overcoming four hurdles to collaboration. Thereafter – in March – we will examine how a company can create a disciplined collaboration culture. Then in the fourth instalment, we will examine how to become a collaborative leader. In the final – unpublished – chapter, we will look at online collaboration. For us, Morten Hansen will provide some insight into his as-yet unpublished research.
