Michael Fodor
Michael Fodor’s initial training was in Industrial Engineering (B.S., M.S. degree from Stanford University). He worked for six years in operations, designing production planning systems (master scheduling, raw material and labor requirements) for soft-goods firms. The experience in production management and the interaction with programmers (particularly in debugging) built an aptitude for concision and precision.
Subsequently, he taught language and literature in the United States (Harvard and Dartmouth) and France (Université de Tours). A good part of this teaching was devoted to writing skills – for example, he taught in Dartmouth’s first-year writing program. As part of his academic experience, he published four academic articles and completed a book manuscript. He writes both in English and in French.
Since joining Casium he has both written and edited management articles. The editing side has included improving the drafts of free-lance writers for clarity and vivacity while fitting them to layout length constraints. When not editing articles, he has spent most of his writing time synthesizing recently published management titles.
